Flower Festival Ceremony
to Celebrate the Birth of Buddha
Sunday, June 4, 2000 at 11:00 A.M.

At 11:00 am we gathered in the Meditation Hall of the Center where we recited prayers, chanted and drummed to honor the birth of Buddha. After the ceremony concluded everyone went downstairs to the main room to partake in a delicious lunch. I walked up to the Pagoda to light incense and then check on the progress of the new Temple. Brother Kato announced at the end of the festival that completion of the new Temple will conclude in 2002. Helping hands are always welcome!

the chance to light incense and pour nectar over Baby Buddha while the rest of us chanted and drummed.
